Kenton's style of teaching is considerate and inclusive of people's different levels of energy and any limitations.

His aim is to mentor and share his experience with all students.

 

Options are provided for progressive movement through each asana (pose).  Ensuring all participants are practicing at a level they feel safe, secure and accomplished in while encouraging people to progress when they are ready.

Classes are suitable for absolute beginners through to experienced practitioners.

Javi is a passionate and enthusiastic Kundalini Yoga instructor with her journey in yoga beginning 15 years ago in Chile.

In 2011 she trained specifically in Kundalini Yoga and wanting to share this knowledge with more people, she completed studies of school yoga, pre-natal & post-natal yoga.

She is also a Speech Therapist, graduating in 2011, and has some complementary diplomas in Gastronomy & nutrition, phototherapy & permaculture. 

She believes that a yogic life is wholistic and all-inclusive: body, mind, and spirit. 

Her classes are heartfelt and intuitive, gently challenging and deeply nourishing. 

Her emphasis is on creating a safe space, softening and synchronising the breath to keep yourself focused on your own practice.  

She makes the practice approachable & enjoyable for everyone, regardless of your level and walk of life, aiding in your personal growth. 

She is a walking advertisement of what this lifestyle can achieve, her joy being infectious.

‘Ahana’ is a girl’s name in sanskrit that means dawn, and immortal.

It reminds me that each day is a new day that holds endless opportunities. If your body can complete a pose one day but can’t the next, it doesn’t matter.

To honour your body by listening to it, and working from where it is at today, is a real gift.

Currently running yoga classes through Studio 29, based at Sandcastles Resort in Agnes Water, I am also available for private lessons, functions and to help sporting groups attain strength and flexibility required to compete effectively.

I am a certified personal trainer with a Certificate IV Master Trainer from the Australian Institute of Fitness, and a 200 hour trained Yoga Teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance Australia.

I have worked in the fitness industry since 2015 in gyms and yoga studios in Brisbane and Agnes Water.

Meditation with Sunirmalya 

Open Source Meditation is open, rational and logical. It says real meditation is not exclusive to one religion or one meditation technique or science or even one sport or one field of art or creative expression. Meditation is free and open to all just as open source software is free and open.

 

Meditation put simply, is the new common sense. It should not be encumbered by the fundamentalism of one group, religion or even science. Secularists and atheists can meditate just as effectively as meditators that are religious, whether that be Mindfulness meditation, or Buddhist meditation, transcendental meditation, Christian meditation, Zen meditation, chakra meditation or Islamic styles of meditation.

 

Nearly all popular meditation groups are tied to a specific style or religion. Some, for example, advocate just one meditation technique, mantra meditation, and to be financially committed to their group.

 

Most religious meditation groups similarly focus on their religion and usually one meditation technique, for example, mindfulness meditation. Open Source Meditation is no different to Open Source software, multiple contributors develop and evolve the functionality for the benefit of all with no financial incentive.

 

The Tuesday group meditation is a silent 20 minute meditation followed by open and inclusive discussion. All are welcome
